Patient Care Coordinator I Lee's Summit, MO - Remote Perform routine phone calls and data entry that are necessary for appointment scheduling and perform customer service-related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Manage a substantial amount of inbound and outbound calls daily.
Respond to e-mails, IM's and voice mail promptly and professionally.
Develop open and effective channels of communication with each provider and member.
Schedule telephonic calls following preapproved scripts and guidelines provided.
Set appointments following instructions provided by Physicians and Contracted Health Plans Follow up with Physicians and other medical professionals.
Maintain and update records as to the status of phone calls with patients.
File documents and records.
Maintain a tracking system for quick data retrieval.
Take appropriate actions to ensure compliance with company policy and procedures, standards of conduct and state and federal rules, regulations and laws.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet the business needs or customer requirements.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS Required Work
Experience:
Minimum one (1) year previous experience in a customer service role.
Preferred Work
Experience:
Previous experience in an outbound call center.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Sitting for long periods of time.
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
(Typing) Work at a computer screen for prolonged periods.
Knowledge:
Proper telephone etiquette to handle inbound and outbound calls.
Basic knowledge of operating office equipment.
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) necessary to effectively interact with customers and co-workers.
Proficiency in basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple activities.
Strong organizational skills Ability to adhere to written scriptd.
Excellent listening skills Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and all levels of staff and management.
Plan, organize, prioritize, and perform duties as assigned with minimal supervision.
Ability to deal with client information in a confidential manner.
EDUCATION High School Diploma or Equivalent(Required) LICENSECERTIFICATIONS.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
