56 an hour The City of Lee's Summit is now seeking applicants to fill the position of Communications Specialist in the Police Department.
This non-sworn position performs emergency call taking and dispatching of public safety units and involves multi-tasking activities in a fast paced, high volume, high stress, 911-dispatch center.
Applicants must be able to work day, evening and midnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Experience in an emergency service field is desired, but not required.
Once hired, employees are given extensive training to meet the challenges of this position.
Applicants must be able to pass a background check which includes a polygraph examination.
