GOVERNMENT INFORMATION SPECIALIST (SENIOR FOIA SPECIALIST)

GS-13:
You qualify at the GS-13 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the job duties. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Negotiating with external parties to arrive at an organization's desired outcome; Influencing internal partners to cooperate or accept recommendations; Using knowledge of an organization's programs and functions in order to obtain requested information; Analyzing legal issues that impact upon a successful response to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests; Processing and preparing FOIA responses under litigation. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
