As an ARCHIVES SPECIALIST, you will:
As a team leader, leads a team consisting of archives aids and archives technicians GS-2 through GS-7, and is responsible for the quantity and quality of their work. Determines daily staffing needs based on backlogs and workload projections. Incumbent is responsible for timely and accurate transfer of records to the facility by Federal agencies. Receives and reviews paperwork, usually SF 135, Records Transmittal and Receipt. Analyzes data provided to insure accuracy based on knowledge and interpretation of numerous agency records schedules. Maintains, arranges, and updates the facility's collection of Federal agency records schedules, General Records Schedules, NARA disposal jobs and similar and related materials in both paper and microforms. Assists the supervisor and regional management staff in preparing and presenting records management workshops and training. Collects, analyzes and prepares information to be presented. You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. To be qualified for this position at the GS-09 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Utilizing a wide range of systems or databases to search beyond readily accessible material to locate, analyze, index, and manage records. AND- Providing customer service and guidance with record research and reference and access services. OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degreeor LL.B. or J.D., if related.You may qualify by a combination of experience and education.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
