For Sale: 1932 Ford Model B in Lake Winnebago, Missouri for sale in Lees Summit, MO
Vehicle Description 1932 Ford BB This truck has a great look and is extremely rare with less than 500 of these trucks ever made.
It was owned by the City of Kansas City, MO for decades.
My father bought it 20
years ago and it has been in the barn for most of that time.
Ford called it their Service Body, exclusively for the 131.
5 AA chassis.
It was built by Briggs for Ford and offered from January 1931 until early 1934.
They were never a big seller, being marketed as a high-end tow and service truck, mostly sold to Ford Lincoln dealerships for 715.
00 with an optional hand-cranked winch adding another 75.

It never was a big seller- Ford ordered 1000 from Briggs, but they only delivered about one half that total by 1932 and the last few years it was available, it was heavily discounted to dealers to get rid of them.
The truck starts quickly and easily, runs and drives very, very well.
I recently spent $5K with a local shop going through the vehicle to make sure it is up to par.
Fluids all changed, fuel tank and system cleaned, full tune up, brakes and wheel bearings inspected.
There is no sign of any major mechanical issues at all.
The oil pan was dropped to stop an oil leak and inspected for metal shavings and none were found.
You can see in the photos the bottom of the engine with the pan off.
No oil leaks at all from the engine, transmission or rear end.
Both side windows and the windshield do have cracks and the passengers side rear fender has damage on the lower part behind the tires.
The radiator has some damage from the fan but does not leak.
The tires are all holding air but certainly have major weather checking from being old.
Other than that, it is amazing how solid and what good condition the truck is in.
I have searched the internet thoroughly, have spoken to several old timers and did not realize just how rare this truck really is until lately.
It would be a real good addition for a serious collector.
